Brody Fausett · week of Aug 10–16 · revised Tue 2:10pm HST

Midweek Planning Prep — Tue Aug 11, 12:23pm HST

This is NOT the Monday sheet. You're a day and a half into the week and a lot already moved, so this starts from where you actually are, not from zero. Three parts: what already closed, what's still live, and the short list only you can answer.

1 · Already closed this week (the PROOF list, not intentions)

These are done, not in-progress. Read this first, because your own pattern is to score the week as "a little bit of everything" while forgetting the closed column.

  1. Seminary launched. Online day Monday 8/10, first in-person class taught Tuesday 8/11 6:20am. You showed up, unlocked the gate, and ran it. That was the thing you were uneasy about a week ago.
  2. Planet Home Lending resolved on a 44-minute call (8/11). August's $8,410.69 paid on the call. September's $8,410.69 scheduled to auto-draft 9/1 from checking ...5778. You also finally got the undisclosed rule out of them: pay before the 15th or they go back to the investor and can extend the trial again.
  3. Utah ACH payment 1 of 36 confirmed posted 8/10, $989. Garnishment is halted. 35 to go, final ~July 2029. Correction from you: the debit lands the 10th, not the 7th.
  4. Mastermind accountability groups SENT. ~2 weeks overdue, out today 8/11 around 12:06pm. Four groups, leader-first so each leader confirms before it goes wide: Lafe, Logan Visser, Joe Jensen, Jordan Visser.
  5. Kurt Campbell locked. Wed 8/12, 11:00am HST / 3pm MT. Zoom made, link sent, calendar set.
  6. September mapped end to end. 17 events added, 2 extended, 22 dead recurrences cleared off the Sept 1-20 window.
  7. Desert Color autopay decided. Standing "don't switch to autopay" caution formally superseded by your call. Chris is on the SPS phone call today.
  8. Financing spam cleared. STOP sent to today's three, yesterday's two already handled.

2 · Where the Big 3 actually stand

Your Big 3 from the 8/3 memo, scored honestly as of right now.

Big 3 #1 — The BBF event is filled

🟡 Movement, zero collected. And the date I flagged was wrong.

⚠️ CORRECTION (8/11, from Brody): the "BBF Maui is Aug 21, ten days out" alarm in the first version of this doc was wrong. Maui was postponed on 7/31 and repositioned as a separate RE-investor front. Live dates: Maui = Oct 15-16 (Lahaina, own lodging). Brian Head = Sept 7-8 (that one is correct on the calendar and matches the live site). Calendar has been fixed.

Big 3 #2 — Two months of runway that you can SEE

🟢 The one that actually moved.

Desert Color — DECIDED 8/11: hold. Can't sell (won't clear the balance), can't refi (the line of credit on it is one you need). Single objective: never go three months behind, plus one extra payment toward the arrears when a month allows. Sell/refi is off the table and won't be re-raised.

⚠️ Terminology fix, because you asked and it changes the number. "Two liens" does not mean two months of payments due. It means two separate loans secured by the same house: the SPS first mortgage ($5,812.02/mo) and the SSFCU second lien #0177836707 (~$2,807/mo, paid out of personal 4881). Both are owed every single month, stacked. That's why true carry is ~$9,028/mo against ~$5,098/mo of Redrock income. The months-behind count (~2) is a completely separate number from the lien count.

⚠️ Aug 28 and Sept 1 land four days apart: Shellpoint final trial $17,692.47 and Planet final trial $8,410.69. ~$26.1K in that window.

Your stated plan: fill BBF. One problem with the math — Maui is Oct 15-16, so nothing from Maui or from Brandon arrives before Sept 1. Brian Head is Sept 7-8, also after the gate. So BBF only covers this window if the money comes in as payments collected in the next ~17 days, not as event revenue. Which means the actual lever is: get David and Jarom to pay, and get more links out and paid, before Aug 28. Worth naming out loud before you rely on it.

Big 3 #3 — The consistent-income path named and locked

🟡 Not parked, but not pretending either. Your read: "I'm always kind of working on it in some roundabout way, but there end up being these things that are pressing that I have to take care of that don't really pay me, they just keep me from losing money." (The flood. The water bill. The stop-work notice at Haku Hale.)

Your own fix, and it's the right one: map ONE heavy task onto the calendar per day, do it first, don't touch anything else until it closes. Then give yourself permission to go build something fun. "If I get one of those big things done every single day, that'll be better than pretending I'm going to get them all done and not getting any of them done." Logged as a standing operating rule.

Rae's surf lesson already happened Monday — removed from Wednesday.

Three clear work windows left this week: Wed after Kurt, all of Thursday, and Friday before 5. That's it. Everything below has to fit in those three.

4 · The decisions only you can make (answered 8/11, remainder below)

Answered in the voice session — closed out:

Still open and still yours:

  1. Confirm Maui = Oct 15-16. The page is live and taking applications on a date that was never signed off. Also: are meals covered, and what's the venue wording.
  2. Lock Brandon Turner in on the $1k/head Maui affiliate before anything gets sent his way.
  3. The ~$26.1K by Sept 1 doesn't come from event revenue — it comes from links paid. Decide who is chasing David and Jarom, and whether more links go out this week.

5 · Waiting on other people (don't re-do these)

6 · Family, not logistics

Two items carried over from 8/3 and both are still open:

New from the 8/10 conversation: Andrea's birthday is Sept 8, and you'll be mid-BBF-event in Brian Head while she flies in. Reminder is on your calendar for Sept 1.

7 · How the week should FEEL (his words, 8/11)

"I'm the person that inbounds the ball and runs down and makes a perfect assist, and instead of them laying it up and scoring, they pass it back to me. Reality is I just want to be the coach that calls the plays, draws up the plays, spends the time thinking about that and getting it all locked in, and then be the one to say okay, this is the plan, ready set go, and everybody executes their part."

The target state: everything is either moving forward or done, there's a place for all of it, and as much as possible is out of his hands. "Moving and not needing me or my constant attention."

Which reframes the HQ command center build. The question stopped being what he wants — it's how to make this real. Finish the AI chief of staff, the dashboard, and the surrounding ecosystem so work routes to a named owner, ownership is unambiguous, follow-ups happen without him, and things close instead of bouncing back. Measure that build by how much stops needing him, not by features.

⚠️ One thing I need you to confirm before I delete it: your "just disregard that, I don't need it on the list" comment was filed under the Andrea non-logistics item, but what you described — "there was something we were talking about, we couldn't remember what was going on on that date" — is the Fri 8/14 / Sat 8/15 mystery commitment, which I already dropped yesterday. So I've left "one thing with Andrea that is NOT logistics" on the list, since that's a real family priority out of the 8/3 memo. Say the word if you want that one gone too.
